Getting started
Do I need to know how to code?
No. The setup wizard builds your settings file. The only manual step is attaching PulseDual and PulseGuard to one XAUUSD chart in MetaTrader 5, and there's a guide for it.
What do I need?
MetaTrader 5, a broker that offers gold (XAUUSD), a PulseBot membership, and a way to keep MT5 running around the clock: your own PC, a VPS, or Pulse Cloud.
Which broker should I use?
Any MT5 broker with XAUUSD. The verified backtests use PU Prime data and the public master accounts trade there. We also run accounts on Vantage, Alpha Global, Darwinex and FXTM.
Is there a minimum account size?
About $6,000 is recommended for own-money accounts, so the broker's minimum lot size doesn't push risk above the intended 0.5% per engine. Prop challenges use a fixed balance, so this doesn't apply.
How many accounts can I run?
Unlimited demo accounts. Up to 5 live, funded or challenge accounts on Everything. Need more? Message us, or ask about a partner account.
PulseDual
What is PulseDual?
One EA with two engines. PulseStrike trades pullbacks in established trends during the London and New York sessions; PulseCatalyst trades breakouts across more of the day. Their losses rarely land together, which keeps drawdowns smaller than either alone.
What is event mode?
It lets PulseCatalyst trade major US releases (jobs, inflation, Fed decisions) at a higher risk per trade. Own-money accounts only, never prop setups.
Does restarting MetaTrader change anything?
No. Since version 3.73, restarts, updates and re-attaching don't change how the EA behaves.
Does it trade every day?
Most days, but not always. Each engine has its own sessions and only trades when all its conditions line up.
Prop firms
Can I use PulseDual on a prop challenge?
Yes. Choose prop in the setup wizard and enter the challenge size, which sets a fixed balance. Then set PulseGuard's daily and maximum loss limits a little inside the firm's rules.
Has it passed a challenge?
Yes: two CK Capital Phase 1 challenges (100k and 10k), on signals copied from the master account. The certificates and trades are on the backtests page.
Who is responsible for my limits?
You set them and PulseGuard enforces them. Check them against your firm's rules, which vary.
Pulse Command & PulseGuard
What happens if my PC loses connection?
PulseGuard runs inside the MT5 terminal and keeps enforcing your limits. Command catches up when the connection is back.
Can I use Command with other EAs or manual trading?
Yes, it works on any MT5 account.
How do I get help?

Why are there two backtest windows?
PulseDual was developed on Apr 2025 – Apr 2026 data, then tested on Apr – Sep 2026 data it hadn't seen. They're shown separately so you can judge the forward test. See the backtests.
Can I cancel?
Yes, any time from Account & Billing. Plans are monthly.
